『ティファニーで朝食を』
映画は見たことがあるがDVDを買ってもう一度見ようという気にはならない。映画と小説ではラストが違うと聞いたことがあるが、正直どうでもいい。

多読用にペーパーバックを何冊か購入した。
『デイヴィッド・コパフィールド』
ディケンズといえばずっと前に『大いなる遺産』とかいうのを(日本語で)読んだことがあるが、全然面白くなかった。これはどうだろう。こんなに厚い本を最後まで飽きずに読めるだろうか。たぶんいつものように積ん読だろう。

中島文雄『英語発達史 改訂版』(岩波全書セレクション)
1979年改訂版。2005年11月に岩波全書セレクションとして刊行された。
岩波書店のホームページをみると品切重版未定となっているのでもう手に入らないのかとあきらめていたところ、神保町の書店で新本を発見した。
